This does not affect my review or my opinion of the book in any way.I thought this book was quite refreshing. It's not really my type of genre, but I'm glad I gave it a shot. It's a really good novella.The only reason this book four stars rather than five is because I didn't find the main character, Kaitlyn, relatable. To be honest, I would have been very surprised if I did because she's a totally different cut of woman to me! She's feisty, well-spoken and (for lack of a better word) posh. I liked her as a character and I loved the way her mind works. I really think that if she'd been any different, the plot line wouldn't have worked.As you can tell from the title, Sweet Revenge, it's a story about revenge! I won't go into detail about how this happens, but needless to say I was very satisfied with the revenge, lol. I didn't see it coming, it's none of the "usual" approaches us women use. I really liked it as a plot twist because it's different and believable, this is one of the reasons I've rated the book so highly.I loved that a woman who's crushed totally turns on the "sod it" attitude and just goes for what she wants in life, I love how she gets her priorities together. I actually found that quite inspirational! No one should ever put their life on hold unless there's exceptional circumstances holding them back. When Kaitlyn just "goes for it" with her life, I really wanted to whoop at her and cheer her on. I thought that was a really good moral for the story.As for my reaction at the whole revenge thing, I actually wanted to call out to Roy and start the whole, "deserves you right!" and "take that!" chanting, lol. I found it very amusing and he got exactly what was coming to him. No one should treat women the way he does, again, there's another great moral there.I'd definitely recommend this book to lovers of contemporary romance. For me, this is a book with great morals and lessons to be learnt, it's also very entertaining! It's a perfect read if you're short on time because it's a novella. You get a highly amusing, very well-rounded story that can be finished in a day :) Think bathtub, relaxation, me time... that's what this book is all about.

By Ms.NoseinaBook I want to start off by mentioning that I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.This story is about a young girl who is working as a personal shopper to earn enough money for college. One day a billionaire enlists her personal shopping services and she soon realizes that she is in for much much more.I ended up really enjoying this story. At 88 pages this story is a very light read and went by really fast. I liked the storyline a lot but found myself always wishing that there was more detail in some scenes or that there were scenes left out that would have added to my enjoyment of the story like when Kaitlyn plays the piano at Arthur’s party. I would have loved to have seen that in the story and seen Roy’s reaction to her but that may also have been giving too much away about his true feelings for her.I really enjoyed the little twist the story took at the end, it definitely surprised me and was a really sweet ending. I liked Kaitlyn a lot as our protagonist, I really liked how she blossomed towards the end of the story into a more confident and sassy character. I feel like she was still pretty sassy to begin with but I think being jilted gave her a bit more edge as it does in most of us as well. I wasn’t a fan of Roy at first though he definitely seemed intriguing and sexy but he grew on me and at the end I was like yes!I thought the steamy scenes were great and I would definitely be interested in reading more stories in this series. When I finished reading this I found myself wishing it was longer so I could have spent more time with the story and more time basking in their romance. I love a good romance and am so late on getting on the billionaire romance train but I think I like it! If you are a romance fan and specifically a fan of billionaire romances, check this one out! At 74 pages long, it is the quickest book I’ve ever read. I’ve written papers longer than this book, but I have to say, this book was definitely more exciting than any paper I’ve had to write in college.Kaitlyn Monroe is working as a personal shopper when she meets her newest client, Roy Hurst, who is also a billionaire that has just acquired her place of employment, as another one of his many business investments. The two quickly hit it off as friends and Hurst is quite impressed with Kaitlyn’s professionalism and talent, so he decides to offer her another employment opportunity. This is when the “pretty woman” reference comes to mind, except without the “beck and call girl” aspect.Without giving anything away, I’ll just say this; “If you’ve ever wondered what would have happened if Vivian was a prankster, this is the book for you!”I enjoyed reading this book and it was an easy read, for the most part. The change in the style of the dialog threw me off a bit. It kept going from a personal to professional way of speaking throughout the entire book. Also, I didn’t feel a connection with the characters’ like I usually do so a bit of a background story for the characters would have been better for me. As a reader, I appreciate the ability to escape in a book and feel as if I can relate to the characters and see the setting of the book. I didn’t get that with this book. But again, I still enjoyed it and I look forward to reading more from Serene McCarthy to see how she grows as a writer.I give this book 3 stars because it was a good book....Beth
