6 of 6 people found the following review helpful. Deadly Alliances By eagles This is an excellent mystery and suspense book. It is the first book of the series. I enjoyed the way the author introduced the characters and wove them into their lives. I admired the book for not using bad language and sexual contents. The story keeps moving and you get so involved you can hardly put it down. I recommend this book to anyone who really enjoys a good book. Can't wait to read the second book of the series.
3 of 3 people found the following review helpful. This book was very enjoyable! By J21C I have never read anything by this author before. I'm always a little skeptical with an author who is new to me, but I was so pleasantly surprised! The characters were believable and the story was definitely engaging. The only "negative" for me was that the story got a little convoluted toward the end but the message was so great that that far outweighed any "negative". This world seems so filled with brokenness and the message is that we need to be obedient to the Lord's prompting and tell people about the hope that we profess. I loved how the main character was not perfect in her spiritual walk (would forget to pray or would be quick to judge-partly because of her job but also partly because she seems to struggle to allow others to get close to her). However when it came to explaining her faith she didn't hesitate and wasn't worried about what others would think of her. She wasn't reckless with her faith and she was respectful of where others were on their spiritual journey. You never know how your kindness or respect of another or the time you spend with someone may impact them for the kingdom. I will definitely read more from this author. It was a great find! Thank you, Candle Sutton!
1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. You Never Know ! By Tray You never know if your choices will have a impact on living ,or dying, another good reason to treat people with kindness. I could hardly wait to read the next one. Really wanted to know what would happen next, tough women holding up the law is always fun, especially if its realistic, and this was. It was twists in the story , that were a little drawn out , if there is a traitor in the mix, finding out who, would be very important. Still the writing was decent, and the characters left with a little intrigue, what happen to Stevens?
