The Gold Standard For SAT Prep By Geoffrey Kleinman In 2016, The SAT's go through the biggest change in their history, making a study guide an important tool. Kaplan has been one of the leaders in this space and their top offering is this "SAT Premier" edition. This edition includes a massive study guide, a DVD and the online edition. Kaplan has taken the occasion of the new SAT test to revamp their study guide. This edition weighs in at nearly 1337 pages vs 819 pages for last year's edition.In addition to more stuff, the new SAT Premier 2016 has a much better organization of information. It's much easier to get through this book to find what you are looking for and get the info you need. As with year's past, the real jewel of this book is the online edition which has detailed video tutorials in each section, which are much more helpful in context. There's also a DVD which is a good entry point and works well to help reduce the stress and anxiety of the test.Interestingly, Kaplan trimmed down the number of practice tests. The previous edition had 8 total, while this one has 2 in the book and 3 online. The reduction makes sense as doing 8 practice tests is a little excessive. Given how much in-person SAT test courses cost and how much you get in this book for the money, it's hard not to recommend this immense SAT resource.

Review In Book, DVD Lessons, Paper Tests Inside Plus More Tests Online By ChristineMM This is the third Kaplan 2016 SAT book I have skimmed to review. My new opinion is if you are going to buy one book, buy this one not the Kaplan New SAT 2016 Strategies, Practice and Review with 3 Practice Tests: Book + Online (Kaplan Test Prep).Anyhow this book "Premier" has the most bang for your buck. It is a three inch thick book that contains two practice tests inside and online access to three more full tests. It comes with a DVD with lessons and tips to watch. The online work you do is adaptive, meaning it changes based on your weaknesses and strengths so you only do online practice for what you need. Of course it also has the in-book review and tips and strategies.There is a mobile version to access the online content from a mobile device.Also if you want more practice tests on paper you can also buy Kaplan 8 Practice Tests for the New SAT 2016 (Kaplan Test Prep) which has 8 paper tests inside (but no general review).The price difference is not much so I recommend getting Premier.What I say about their money back guarantee still applies: they tout this on the front cover and when you read the details inside the front cover you learn that you must request your money back within 90 days of the purchase, in writing, and you need to produce your sales receipt. My complaint is that the test results take about six weeks to get back, and students should be prepping prior to six weeks beforehand, so they are cutting it close to expect you to be dissatisfied with your SAT score within the 90 days.

Almost overwhelming in the amount of information By sanoe.net Kaplan's New SAT Premier 2016 is 3 inches thick and frankly, 30 days to go through it in order to do a review isn't enough time. That's just for the textbook and not counting the dvd and online resources. It is well organized with practice and extra practice questions. It actually runs the risk of being too much information but a student with good time management and a plan could work well with it.
