He starts working with Tank, the king of the streets in Houston, Texas and his come up is fast. So fast that he starts to elicit jealousy in not only the hearts of his enemies, but also in the hearts of the very same person that he thought was his friend. Blow. Ignoring Tank's warning, that jealousy becomes his downfall, and Gideon will learn that there is no love lost when it comes to the money. Tank is 35 years old, and he's been hustling for 20 years now. He's seen it all, and he's ready to hang it up, and fade into the background. The only problem Tank has, is that he doesn't have anyone to hand his reigns off too. He refuses to let his younger sister Tai get into the same kind of life, and when he meets Gideon, he knows he has a contender. Tank starts to mold Gideon into the young thug that he needs to be in order to handle the streets, but mistakes are made and those mistakes become deadly. This Love is Trill is gritty, urban, and full of broken hearted people all searching for love in the worst place ever; the streets.

I can honestly say from the beginning I could tell Gideon possessed everything to be considered a good dude. His love for his mom proved that and I understood why he reached his breaking point with his dad. Now Misa was a different story. She expected too much and she handled her feelings all wrong. Tai was a little gansta and I admired her relationship with Tank and Chiasa. Envy can complicate even the strongest bond and Blow showed just how much. He had it all but to turn on someone that would go above and beyond for him was wrong on so many levels. Princeton was a creep. There's no amount of love in the world that should've had him doing the things he did, even if he was useful. Gideon and Tai's relationship truly was trill and I was hoping nothing would stand in their way. Just when things were going good life threw a serious curveball. All I could say was damn! The streets are definitely about to turn up after the events that had so many questioning the loyalty of those closest. I can't wait for part 2 and see how everything will transpire. Why was Misa so selfish with her decision, will Blow and the officer get what's coming to them, will Chiasa and Tai's friendship ever be the same, will Gideon continue to live up to who Tank was molding him to be without getting sidetracked, how much more foolish will Princeton be up to, and how much more will happen to test the trill love Gideon and Tai share?
1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Loved it! By Pamela Johnston Ward I absolutely loved this story. Gideon is my dude. I need him in my life. I hate that he allowed his so call best friend Blow to almost ruin his life. I hope that Blow gets just what he deserves in part 2. I'm glad that he has Tai in his life. I think that she is good for him. I hate what happened to her brother Tank though. There are so many unanswered questions, such as what happened to Gideons mother, will Tai's relationship with her best friend Chiasa survive, etc. You have to read the book to see what I am talking about. I can't wait to read part 2, to get these questions answered. Great job Dechella. As always, you never disappoint.

I hope it all works out, but I doubt it. Chiasa and Blow...not feeling them, neither one of them no the meaning of family loyalty. Click now!!!! Highly recommend....
