About the Author
Robert Genat is an accomplished author and photographer who has written 25 books for MBI Publishing. A self-proclaimed “gearhead,” Robert has restored two classic cars in the last 10 years (one of which was featured in a nationally syndicated television show), and has recently completed a chopped ’32 five-window coupe. He and his wife Robin own and operate ZoneFive Photo. Genat lives in Encinitas, California.
David Newhardt is one of the best automobile photographers working today and has provided photography for best-selling Motorbooks titles Muscle: America's Legendary Performance Cars, Corvette: Fifty Years, Mustang: Forty Years, Mopar Muscle: Fifty Years, and Shelby Mustang: Racer for the Street.

Chevy's, Ford's, Chrysler's, Buick's, Pontiac's, they're all in this book in gorgeous color photographs. Wonderful background stories on all the makes fact filled with interesting anecdotes. A must for any 50s Car enthusiast! Well presented and easy reading.

Solid book By Pharmboy Bought for some research for two Wikipedia articles (manufacturing in the 1950s and auto culture), along with a bunch of other books. Really nice images, lots of useful information. Hard to beat the price. Worthwhile book for anyone wanting a trip down memory lane, or who just wants to get a good overview of American iron during the decade.

He loves old, nostalgic cars, and he is a photographer that specifically focuses on these types of cars. He loves the book and was very excited when he opened it on Christmas!
