0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Not on par with other pretest books By Zach I'm usually a big fan of pretest. It has been my main or only study source for most rotations and I usually score around a 90 on the shelfs (so far peds, obgyn, surgery and family med). I am about a third through this one and am pretty disappointed with the explanations. Each question is good not only because of the right answer but why the wrong ones are wrong. Usually pretest explanations do a great job with both. Not that all of the explanations are bad in this one, but a lot of them seem to have the minimum and tell you what the answer is, instead of teaching with the answer.However this does have questions updated with DSM 5 which is the only reason it got 3 stars. Just don't expect to get the same thing out of this as other pretests.

I was a little bit confused and I found that each questions are so short that it was possible. I think it's not a quite USMLE question style.
