Mervine Disclaimer: I won this book from a giveaway a few months back. However, I am giving an objective view of this book that I read.Prior to reading this book, I did have an extensive background by working with an Antivirus company on removing malware. In summary, I was responsible for removing malware off of customer's machines and obtaining the virus sample so that it could be implemented in future antivirus definitions I have been "out of the game" for a few years now.Upon reading the book, Michael does make this book geared towards the novice. It's his intended audience and he does a great job of doing so. This book will give helpful tools on what's needed to prevent and remove malware. When I was reading the book, I kept thinking "Is he going to talk about this or talk about this tool" I'm glad to say that he does cover a lot of things that I worked with before.It's a great no nonsense approach on removing malware and Michael does a perfect job of doing so. This book is also great for the novice technician who wants to get into removing malware and for the price of this book it would make a worthy addition to the bookshelf.
