From the Author The Bootlegger's Legacy draws from my personal experiences in both Oklahoma and New Mexico. I remember hearing as a child in Oklahoma about a bootlegger who lived on the next street over from my house. Was not real sure what a bootlegger was but it was exciting and mysterious. The characters are loosely based on people I have known with the two main characters being a composite of several people, including myself. I wanted the story to be fun, but also to have a serious side about our transitions in life.The e-book was recently honored by the Independent Book Publishers Association's-Benjamin Franklin Digital Awards as a 2016 Silver Honoree.
About the Author Ted Clifton has been a consultant, investment banker, artist, financial writer, business entrepreneur and a sometimes philosopher. He lives in Denver, Colorado, after many years in the New Mexico desert, with his wife and grandson.

It is a history of Oklahoma 's bootlegger history told in a story that sounds true to life. The characters are complex and have many layers. It is a good read. I enjoy history which this book delivers. Ted Clifton is a wonderful story teller.I received a copy of this thru Goodreads Giveaway.

It takes the reader on a wild ride back through Oklahoma’s probation days of the 1940’s and 50’s up to the present day. Clifton’s great character and plot development keeps the reader wanting to find out what happens next.With twists and turns around every corner this book is a true page turner and I highly recommend it to all mystery fans.
