These tests always posted the fastest ¼ mile times and speeds that they could pull from each of the cars. What better way to solve any arguments between brands, but to rank the fastest muscle cars by the published times? Some of the leading muscle car magazines like, Muscle Car Review Magazine and Car & Driver Magazine did just that years ago. They ran lists ranking the top 50 Fastest Muscle Cars of the 1960’s and 1970’s, according to published magazine articles. Many will argue that it is not correct, that some cars were faster and some not that fast, and I am sure there are cars that might have got left out, but it is the best comparison that we can find.
