It has color photographs of steam locomotives preserved today. Also provides reference of great places to go and observe live or static displays of these locomotives.

Preserved steam locomotives By James This book contains color photos of preserved & currently operating steam locomotives in the United States & Europe. The photos are good quality. The book is not exactly what I expected. I thought it was about steam locomotives & pictures from the 30s-50s. It was not & so I was disappointed. If I had known the contents before I purchased it I would not have. It is a good book, just not what I was after.

An important goal has been to make the topics accessible to a wide audience, with little overt reliance on measure theory.  A typical semester course consists of Chapters 1-6 (likelihood-based estimation and testing, Bayesian inference, basic asymptotic results) plus selections from M-estimation and related testing and resampling methodology.

Dennis Boos and Len Stefanski are professors in the Department of Statistics at North Carolina State. Their research has been eclectic, often with a robustness angle, although Stefanski is also known for research concentrated on measurement error, including a co-authored book on non-linear measurement error models. You are not allowed to use any reference materials during the certification test (no access to online documentation or to any SAP system). I haven't done much photography, I am just a beginner but the tips in this book have been very helpful.DSLR photography is kind of a scary word to me as I always think of something out of my league but this books lays it out in quite an easy way to understand.
