Can't wait to find out what happens next with Tisha & Shout. Readers beware this is one very hot novel. Tisha is a journalist writig about entertainment and ittel does she know that she will be entertianed more than she wants to be. She gets involved in a sex trafficing ring where here ex is the number one suspect. Can Tisha help the girls out of this horrific situation and juggle her loyalty and love life too? Or will her and the girls be trapped into an unwanted life forever? And what happens between Tisha and her ex as events unfold? Can Tisha handle the danger as well as her feelings? And the bigger question is, has her fiance really become a different man than the one she knew before? And will all the answers lead Tisha to her own death before helping the trapped girls? Find out in this intoxicating yet thrilling world of lust and danger as Tisha discovers the truth.I found this Devious as an excellent novel to read. It brings to light real world issues but in a fictional way that will attract readers to the real underlying sad truth of what happens to girls in sex trafficing rings. Yasmin Shiraz has done a fabulous and amazing job with creating a novel that is both fun and educational to read. I love reading her third book in her captivating series. Readers all over the world won’t want to miss on the mystery, intrigue and suspense that Yasmin Shiraz has masterfully created in this spectacular novel of hers. By Delonya Conyers {Hotchklate} Traumatized by the turmoil surrounding Shout and his rap career Tisha flees her former fiance and starts anew in Washington DC working as an investigative reporter for the Federal Government. However her new position thrusts her right back towards Shout when she's assigned to a trafficking case involving underage girls that has ties to Shout's newly opened night club. Convinced that the man she planned on marrying couldn't be involved in such shady dealings Tisha is willing to jeaporadize her life to prove his innocence.Disheartened by Tisha's disappearance Shout tries to focus on his career but can't until he gets some answers from the woman he wanted to spend the rest of his life with. With both Shout and Tisha seeking out each other for different reasons the eventual reunion is complicated at best. Complications that will leave readers wondering will Shout and Tisha ever reconcile.Yasmin Shiraz does an excellent job revitalizing her former characters with a new plot that goes deeper then the will they or won't they storyline. Sub plots featuring Juicy, Santana and Jordan's brother Eli all assist the novel in moving forward. Devious lives up to its title with an ending that was rather perplexing to put it mildly. I'm unsure as to just how I want Tisha and Shout's story to end but I'm thoroughly invested to the whatever ending Yasmin delivers.Final Rating 3.75 StarsDelonya ConyersARC Book Club Inc.

About the Author

John M. Hughes is an embedded systems engineer with over 30 years of experience in electronics, embedded systems and software, aerospace systems, and scientific applications programming. He was responsible for the surface imaging software on the Phoenix Mars Lander and was part of the team that developed a novel synthetic heterodyne laser interferometer for calibrating the position control of the mirrors on the James Webb Space Telescope. Over the years he has worked on digital engine control systems for commercial and military aircraft, automated test systems, radio telescope data acquisition, 50+ gigapixel imaging systems, and realtime adaptive optics controls for astronomy. On his own time (when he has any) he likes to do cabinetry and furniture design, build microcontroller-based gadgets for use with greenhouses, bees, and backyard urban chickens, and write books.

By William Chau I am a SAT Math instructor and I only did the math sections of the practice tests in the book. In general the math problems in this book are much longer and much more confusing than those in the practice tests published by the CollegeBoard. I have no issue with the CollegeBoard tests in which the questions are very clearly stated. It is a different story with the book under review. Below I captured some of the issues:Practice Test 1 - section 4:3. It should mention that the 119 feet of wall space and 21 feet of window are referring to the vertical dimension.Practice Test 3 - section 4:24. The answer should be 65.8% of all the people with bachelor's degrees. So it is 36,174,000 * 65.8% ~ 24 millions. The answer should be B not A.27. This is the most confusing question of all. I have no clue what it is talking about.Practice Test 4 - section 4:4. In the problem, we have: 'If another 10% leave in the next 15 minutes, ...'. Does it mean 10% of the original people or 10% of the remaining people? Also the graph in the answer choice A (indicated as the correct choice) has its tail-end curving up, which is definitely wrong.

Geller (Bad news) I sat down to work on the first practice (Math) test before distributing it to my students, and in the first 12 questions I encountered 4 questions whose wording I believed to be either incorrect or terribly confusing.(Good news) I wrote to the editorial board (Email was given freely over the phone) and within 24 hours got a thoughtful response. Corrections to the questions that concerned me were posted on a correction sheet, which is available "on the Student Tools for students to access when they register their book online." This is a rare degree of responsiveness in my experience.I appreciate the responsiveness, but am still concerned about the high error rate that I discovered. (I'm also concerned about the complexity of the questions -- one has 107 words in only three sentences -- but that seems consistent with the little I know about the forces drivinging new SAT (and PARCC))

Answer 24 is wrong for reasons stated and 27 contains a thought process that is way too complex for the time assigned to these questions. Its not enough to know pythagorem theory.

The comedies of Harold Chapin (1921), by J. M. Barrie

About the Author J.M. Barrie was born in 1860, the ninth of ten children of hard-working parents in Scotland's jute-weaving industry. Fascinated by stories of her own life told him by his mother, he was determined to write, finding work on the Nottingham Journal after graduating from Edinburgh University. In 1885, he moved to London as a freelance writer and successfully sold the Auld Licht Idylls, a volume based on his mother's tales. By the time Peter Pan opened on the London stage in 1904, Barrie had written more than thirty novels and plays, many autobiographical and several of them major hits such as The Little Minister, Quality Street and The Admirable Crichton. Knighted and awarded the Order of Merit he continued writing into old age. He died in 1937.

34 of 37 people found the following review helpful. Very little to keep my interest... By Amazon Customer Unlikable characters lead a predictable story. Minka's isolation is self-inflicted and unwarranted. She's selfish and immature. I had to remind myself these are full-fledged adults and not some adolescents pretending to be grown ups. There is no growth in Minka until 95% into the book, and then the book us over. The chemistry between the MCs is lukewarm at best. If the next book is about Adam and Lily, it should be heads and shoulders more engaging.It isn't a badly written book, but there is little to keep my interest. Prose is shaded too purple for my tastes. The book could have used a lot more refinement so Minka could pull her head out of her butt a lot sooner and not speed to the end with completely melodramatic conflict and contrived resolution.Romance is fantasy, but I'm bored with women being down on themselves and then getting some super D from a tortured gazillionaire changes their self-image. Bull.I also took issue with how closely the author's name was to the fMC, and the use of other variations of her name in the story.As another reviewer said, I'm glad this was a borrow.

By Kindle Customer Honestly, if the author hadn't restated that the major players in this book were gainfully employed and in their late 20's/early 30's I would have sworn this was new adult.Jason is a ripped, tattooed bad boy who sleeps his way through busty red heads and leggy blondes to hide from his pain. He used to drink, smoke and have threesomes to hide from his pain, but he has cut back because his friends were like "smoking is bad and won't dull the pain". Minka is an extremely insecure beauty who is self conscious and self involved due to her wretched pain (and her pain is often wretched).They meet when she passes out in his arms at a party for her gorgeous former model sister and her best friend/love of her life. The next night they have wild sex (but not before he realizes she has only ever slept with one person) and the next day they become friends with benefits. By day six they are having inner soliloquy moments where they realize they are in love. Six days! Lots of sex, drama, angst and pain fill the last week and they part for three months. She comes to him in one last ditch effort to overcome the big painful misunderstanding and he pops the question. The end.I was really looking forward to reading this and it was... painful. Literally and figuratively. The Scale is filled with overwrought prose about pain and love. I expected to find a lot about Minka's weight and insecurities, but that wasn't half as annoying as her self absorption. Meanwhile, every character seemed to be propping up the very one dimensional Jason (he's such a player... isn't he so gorgeous?... he's so rich and bad and tattooed).There are few errors and it was a decent length, but I am glad it was a borrow.

The thing is she's beautiful. She'll never be a model and thinks she's not good enough for the new guy in her life, Jason.Jason finds her attractive and repeatedly tells her so. She doesn't believe him and is too wrapped up in herself and how her life sucks. Which it doesn't.There's a misunderstanding in this brief love affair and then it finally ends with a H.E.A.This book was difficult because after a while I was tired of Minka, who was selfish and self absorbed. Dang, a fine man said you were cute, beautiful, gorgeous; how about you believe it.It was also annoying hearing about how beautiful and perfect Jason, her sister and her sister's fiancé were.Painful read for me. The book spent too much time on Minka not growing and her issues. The same issues, no less surrounding her insecurities.Pros:Written well.Not a bad book, but not something I'd recommend or read ever again.Cons:Over priced.Lack luster romance scenes. Any author that uses the word 'folds' to describe a woman's anatomy better be very creative or such a great writer to not make me cringe. I couldn't imagine my husband saying 'folds.'Unnecessary angst.A lot of cliche romance book terms.Predictable.Uninteresting heroine.Minka annoyed me.
